Jean Paul Sartre once said that hell is other people. I agree with Jean Paul. Other people can, at times, be hell. But I like to think the “hell” we encounter when someone “pushes our buttons” plays an absolutely critical role on the road to happy.

R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

I am about to make a very embarrassing confession.
Last weekend, while giving the twins a bath, I smacked my husband in the face with a sponge. This was not a light, playful smack. It was an angry, hostile one. And yes it happened right in front of the kids, the ones I’m constantly reminding to “be gentle.”
